- Activation Lock: check Settings or the setup screen for the “Find My” or Activation Lock prompt. Locked devices should be listed honestly or sold for parts.
- Network lock (iPhone): insert a SIM from a different network to confirm whether the phone is unlocked.
- Serial and coverage: enter the serial number on Apple’s Check Coverage page to confirm the model and warranty status.
- Battery health: on iPhone go to Settings > Battery, and on MacBook check System Settings > Battery. Include the figure in your listing.
- Accessories: note which units come boxed or with chargers, because this changes the price you can charge.
